Crankshaft Speed VR (Variable Reluctance)-Sensor detects the engine speed and engine crankshaft position.
The rotation of the engine crankshaft generates a variable magnetic field which influences the output signal of the VR sensor allowing the ECU to calculate the engine crankshaft speed and position. These data are used by the engine ECU to optimize the engine combustion and the engine start.
Crankshaft Speed VR-Sensors have been produced by Eltek since 1994.
More than 20 million vehicles have been equipped with Eltek Crankshaft Speed VR-Sensors.
Superseal integrated connector and versions with various cable lengths are available.
Vibration and humidity protection included.
