Crankshaft Speed VR (Variable Reluctance)-Sensor detects the engine speed and engine crankshaft position.
FUNCTIONALITY
The rotation of the engine crankshaft generates a variable magnetic field which influences the output signal of the VR sensor allowing the ECU to calculate the engine crankshaft speed and position. These data are used by the engine ECU to optimize the engine combustion and the engine start.
